OpenExplorer

// DESCRIPTION

OceanExplorer is a digital field journal that allows users to communicate findings, sightings and other information during at-sea operations.

Sharing is caring: With this online platform, users can share information on everything from planning, operational updates as it is underway, and debriefing with a community that is working towards similar goals. Sharing information and lessons learned with others fighting to protect our oceans from illegal fishing can help grow institutional knowledge and spread best practices. Additionally, this can be a live tool for reporting vessel sightings to authorities back on land.

Just checking in: In addition to its operational purposes, this technology can be a powerful tool in a media kit to raise awareness and increase public investment in oceans protection work writ large.
