Swordfish Maritime Patrol Aircraft

SAAB released the Swordfish Maritime Patrol Aircraft platform in 2016. It is an intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) mission system that is used for long-duration patrols, search and rescue missions and antisubmarine operations. It can be fitted onto two manned aircraft models, Bombardier's Q400 turboprop and Global 6000 jet.

Agile performance: Designed as a multi-role, agile platform, the Swordfish is intended to enhance aircraft to be more adaptable and suited to maritime surveillance missions. The Swordfish includes an electro-optical/infrared sensor, security communications, AESA 360 radar and various options for data linking.
